Descansando grandioso con su sombrero de imagen, bolso y sombrilla, Catrina roba el espectáculo. Armando Ramirez crea la figura icónica a partir de partes automáticas recicladas y chatarra.

La "Calavera Catrina" original fue un grabado en zinc creado por el artista José Guadalupe Posada en México alrededor de 1910. Posada creó el personaje, un esqueleto femenino con un elegante sombrero, como un retrato satírico de los nativos mexicanos que aspiraban al estilo europeo y negaban su propia herencia. Desde entonces, la catrina se ha convertido en un emblema de la celebración del Día de los Muertos en México y un tema popular del arte folclórico.
