Este cofre de joyería de Java, elaborado con madera de wadang en forma de un pequeño armario, es ofrecido por Gunadi. Estampados florales y tradicionales machete malayo los motivos de daga se aplican utilizando el método batik, en el que se pinta a mano una capa de cera en el exterior antes de aplicar tintes de colores. Un cajón inferior ofrece espacio para piezas más grandes, mientras que dos puertas se abren para revelar tres cajones más pequeños en el interior.

“The picture doesnt do it justice!”

Beautifully crafted and decorated this larger jewelry box is uniquely designed. The 3 smaller drawers are hidden behind the doors (indeed like an armoir), and the lower bottom drawer has a depth to it. It is special indeed!.

“Beautiful Jewelry Chest”

Thank you for the beautifully crafted and painted jewelry chest. I gave this chest to my sister as a gift for her birthday. She really loved the hand painting and style of the chest. She greatly treasures it and gives it a special place in her home.

“Parang Flowers jewelry chest”

Enchanting jewelry chest. Hand-painted motifs and such personal craftsmanship. Suitable for any age. Beautiful to have a useful, handmade object like this which is not easy to find these days in our mass-produced world.

“Fine Craftsmanship... BUT!”

Appreciate this artists craftsmanship, but I was hoping and expecting to receive the mask as shown and detailed in the product photograph. While the features and colors are similar, there are visual differences that I noticed immediately. The lighter areas of the face as shown in the photo are a tannish color and not white, which provides a poorer background for the figures painted in those areas. Secondly, the two black scrolled extended end features (top right side and bottom left side) in the photo are only painted to simulate a scroll and not round shaped. Third, the bright red colors are a maroon which mutes the masks visual presentation. Lastly, the top middle stem with yellow leaves is not flared-out as wide. While are I understand that each mask is hand-made and there will be variations, I did not expect to receive that many. I still am satisfied with this purchase, but hopefully, the artist will accept my feedback as constructive criticism of the mask I did receive.

“Wooden Treasue”

These are bigger than expected. Absolutely beautiful. Not very heavy so branches of tree are not weighted down. The design work is stellar. I highly recommend this artist, he is very talented. You will not be disappointed with his work.
