Mostrando sus mejores galas, Catrina se exhibe en este exclusivo acento de pared de arte popular de Rocio Pindter en México. La pequeña obra de arte está hecha de hojalata con un panel de vidrio y pintada a mano con una hermosa Catrina con un elegante sombrero de plumas. La estructura de metal azul está profusamente decorada con flores, peces y pájaros de colores.

La "Calavera Catrina" original fue un grabado en zinc creado por el artista José Guadalupe Posada en México alrededor de 1910. Posada creó el personaje, un esqueleto femenino con un sombrero elegante, como un retrato satírico de los nativos mexicanos que aspiraban al estilo europeo y negaban su propio patrimonio. Desde entonces, la catrina se ha convertido en un emblema de la celebración del Día de Muertos en México y en un tema de arte popular popular.

“This hangs on my kitchen wall and gives me so much joy”

I love Day of the Dead and this little metal diorama hangs in my kitchen near my frog where Ic an see it every day. So beautifully made, colorful and bright.

“A beautiful wedding present”
