Details

A striking chest presented by the Rios Family of Peru, its colonial design complemented by ancient Inca motifs. The textured surfaces pulsate with the energy of the tumi, a ceremonial knife considered sacred among the ancient civilizations of the Andes. To create the imagery, the artisans meticulously emboss leather by hand, enhancing the natural vision with a delicate application of walnut finish. The chest's frame is crafted from fine cedar, its solid essence offering a worthy backing to the leather composition. This work features interior compartments lined in burgundy velour and a sturdy bronze clasp and hinges.
