Un hueco tambora el tambor toma la forma de una mujer, elocuentemente tallada en madera de sese por Salihu Ibrahim. "Este tambor lo utiliza la tribu Dan de Liberia", afirma. Se puede tocar desde el pequeño espacio donde se colocan las baquetas o desde el gran espacio de enfrente, creando cada uno un sonido diferente. Este no es un tambor cualquiera. Se toca sólo cuando los guerreros están a punto de bailar durante las fiestas de la cosecha para mostrar sus poderes, porque cuando se toca este tambor, un espíritu especial los posee y les permite ganar sus batallas". Las aplicaciones de arcilla blanca le dan a la pieza una apariencia antigua.
