"Orgulloso de mis raíces mexicanas, diseñé esta serie de 10 postales para colorear con máscaras de animales fantásticos y otras criaturas. Están inspiradas en las muchas máscaras de arcilla, papel y madera que se encuentran en todo el arte mexicano", explica Alejandra Aceves. Incluye 10 máscaras originales y de diferentes colores inspiradas en las culturas milenarias de México, incluidas las de origen olmeca, maya, zapoteca y huichol, así como otras provenientes de fiestas tradicionales, como las calaveras del Día de Muertos.

El set de 10 postales llega en una caja de acrílico con información sobre el proyecto de Aceves. Inspirada por la enfermedad con la que vive, se dio cuenta de que los síntomas disminuían cuando se concentraba en dibujar. Su deseo es que los demás disfruten de poder relajarse mientras colorean sus postales.

“great idea”

This was a gift for my sister. We love the adult coloring books, but what to do with the completed project? Postcards are an excellent idea. She says they are beautiful!

“An Original Design in Blue and White”

This mug is a welcome addition to my blue and white ceramics collection. It is well-made, and the amimals on it are delightful. I appreciate that Alejandras design is on both sides of the mug, which suits both the right-handed and the left-handed (like me).

“Nice Animal Postcards to Color”

Even when odds were against Alejandra with no cure for her fibromyalgia diagnosis, she found the strength to change her life for the better and conquer the impossible - running a marathon.

Alejandra uses and continues to hand down traditional techniques to the youth in her workshop who, now carry on her same methods.

Alejandra has built her jewelry workshop with NOVICA and is now able to give work to some incredibly dedicated women.
