A la vez audaz y moderno, además de clásico, el diseño original de este chal es de Rajnandinee y Srabonti en India. La envoltura de seda tussar de color alabastro está decorada con técnicas de impresión en bloque ejecutadas a mano que revelan escudos de hojas negras entre bandas de magenta y naranja oxidado.
La impresión manual en bloque es una forma de arte milenaria que se cree que se extendió por toda Asia durante el siglo IV d.C. Se talla la composición deseada sobre taco de madera con cincel, martillo, lima, clavos, etc. La estampación consiste en disponer la tela sobre mesas planas y realizar las impresiones con los tacos previamente tallados sumergidos en los tintes deseados.

Im using this as a piece of showcase art work. I have it hanging over a screen- an elegant backdrop to a large Albany pottery vase. The colors of muted orange and purple almost sing out with balance and calm. Im loving what is gives to the space. (And Id post a photo but Im clueless how to do that) Thank you Rajnandinee and Srabonti!
