Elegante en esmeralda y oro, esta mujer lleva el tocado único de la janger bailar. Nyoman Indrawati Subrata, de la familia Subrata, talla la magnífica máscara en madera de cocodrilo y la pinta con vívidos detalles mientras comparte una de las tradiciones de danza de Bali. La artesana continúa con la extraordinaria obra de arte de su difunto padre, Nyoman Subrata.

El Janger se hizo popular en la década de 1920, ya que permite a hombres y mujeres jóvenes bailar juntos. Doce mujeres se sientan juntas, balanceándose y cantando dulcemente, mientras un número correspondiente de hombres ejecuta el agresivo kecak cantos y movimientos de la danza. Al final, los individuos se ponen de pie y realizan rutinas creativas; los hombres generalmente asumen papeles de payaso mientras las mujeres presentan coreografías más provocativas.

This is the second dancer item Ive purchased from this artist. Both are stunning (especially this larger one) and arrived in perfect condition. I highly recommend items created by this artist.

“Wonderful stars”

I purchased this set and had it gift wrapped. (So beautiful). Im giving my daughter one for her birthday. Plan to mix in with hanging lights.

“Meisterhaft gefertigter Schutzgeist aus balinesicher Mythologie”

Ich besitze bereits eine Barong Maske, die ich während meines Aufenthalts in Bali in einer kleinen Werkstatt in Kuta erworben habe. Im Gegensatz zu all den Masken in den Souvenirshops ist diese, welche ich im Urlaub gekauft habe, schon ziemlich detailliert. Dennoch kann sie dieser Maske nicht im Ansatz das Wasser reichen. Der Detailgrad ist einfach atemberaubend. Man sieht schon beim ersten Blick wie viel Liebe in diese Schnitzerei gegangen ist. Wirklich meisterhafte Handwerkskunst. Erhlich gesagt werden die Bilder dem eigentlichem Produkt nicht gerecht. Was noch zu erwähnen sei ist, dass das Holz deutlich heller ist als die Fotos vermuten lassen. Vielleicht eine Frage der Beleuchtung. Das ist aber keine Kritik.
