Es una máscara tradicional utilizada en los ritos funerarios por el sacerdote principal del clan Yiku de la región Volta de Ghana. La ceremonia expulsa las almas de los recién fallecidos. "La boca casi invisible la vuelve sagrada debido al silencio durante los funerales", explica la diseñadora Evelyn Kafui Ahianyo. "Su posesión asegura protección mientras evita la desgracia".
