Un caprichoso gatito azul retoza y juega. Zeny y Reyna transforman pedazos encontrados de madera de copal en un delicioso alebrijes gato. Estas esculturas fantasiosas son un arte popular tradicional en Oaxaca, una vez basadas en veinte tótems, pero hoy representan todo tipo de animales. Toman su nombre de una palabra gitana Calo para "algo difícil, enredado, confuso o fantástico".

Debido a que cada alebrije es una obra de arte popular creada individualmente, las formas pueden variar ligeramente. Las piezas pequeñas se separan para el envío para protegerlas de roturas.

“Fun, whimsicle kitty! Excellent work.”

Bought this sweet little kitty for my friend. It reminded me of a stray cat that adopted her. Miss Dilly the cat is now coming into her house and has become quite affectionate -- Maybe because of this little Spirit Kitty (smile)? I love the work of Zeny and Reyna. I have several of their pieces and have purchased several as gifts for friends and family.

“Very artistic and vibrant colors”

I love oaxacan and have a decent size collection. This is my second cat and the colors are vibrant and lively. The carving is excellent and it looks wonderful next to Coyote.

“Love my new Zeny and Reyna hummingbird!”

This will be a Christmas gift for me -- a gift from my cat (my cats have always known exactly what I want). Zenys and Reynas pieces are incredible - Exquisite painted details. I have purchased many for myself and many to give as gifts.
