Customer & Stylist Suggestions

Meet the Artist
Every project I work on is an opportunity to express creativity while staying rooted in the traditional craftsmanship I grew up with." "My name is Vahram Yerzinkyan, and I was born and raised in the Jrvezh community. Growing up, I was surrounded by the art of woodworking, as my father and uncle were both skilled craftsmen who worked with wood. Despite this environment, woodworking didn’t immediately capture my interest. In fact, as a child and young adult, I didn’t see myself following in their footsteps, even though I admired their skill and the dedication they put into their work.

"I have a secondary education and explored different paths in life, trying to figure out what really spoke to me. But as fate would have it, the craftsmanship that surrounded me throughout my childhood slowly began to pique my curiosity. I couldn’t help but notice the beauty and precision in the way my father and uncle worked with wood, turning simple pieces into functional, elegant objects. Eventually, I found myself drawn back to the woodworking shop, eager to learn from the very people who had been my role models all along.

"It wasn’t long before I started working with wood myself. My father and uncle were generous with their knowledge, teaching me the foundational techniques and passing down the traditions that had been in our family for generations. At first, woodworking was just a hobby for me—something I did in my free time to relax and unwind. I would spend hours shaping wood, experimenting with different designs, and slowly developing my own style. As I honed my skills, I began to feel a deeper connection to the craft, realizing that working with wood was not just about creating objects but about breathing life into each piece.

"In recent years, what started as a hobby has transformed into a full-time, deeply fulfilling craft. Woodworking has become my passion, and I am incredibly grateful to be able to dedicate my time to something that brings me so much joy. Every project I work on is an opportunity to express creativity while staying rooted in the traditional craftsmanship I grew up with. Whether I’m making a piece of furniture, a decorative item, or a functional object for everyday use, I always strive to combine beauty and practicality, ensuring that each piece I create serves both aesthetic and functional purposes.

"Wood is a living material, and it’s amazing to work with. No two pieces are ever the same, and the challenge of bringing out the unique qualities in each piece keeps me motivated. The texture, grain, and natural imperfections of the wood all add to the character of the final product. I take great care in selecting the right wood for each project, and I believe that the attention to detail is what makes my creations stand out.

"Over time, I’ve realized that woodworking is much more than just a job or even a craft—it’s a way of life. It’s about patience, skill, and a respect for the materials and techniques passed down through generations. Today, I feel proud to continue the family tradition of woodworking, adding my own personal touch to each creation.

"I look forward to sharing my work with you, and I hope that my handcrafted wooden items bring a sense of warmth and authenticity into your home. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about my journey, and I hope my passion for woodworking resonates with you through the pieces I create."
