“Gorgeous”

These are absolutely beautiful earrings. The weight is perfect with a substantial amount of sterling silver. As always Buana does an exquisite design and his craftsmanship is superb. I have purchased numerous pieces of his work and they are all beautiful.

“Pretty!”

These earring are really pretty! I like them but my only problem is they are kind of long and heavy. I don?t wear them too often. But they are pretty and well made.

“So beautiful and well-made, I purchased two!”

This necklace is just stunning! The overall peace is shaped like a diamond. In the center of the piece is a pearl, below the pearl is the beautiful faceted amethyst and below the beautiful amethyst is another pearl. The pearls and amethyst are in a vertical line in the center of the peace. On either side of the amethyst and pearls is the beautiful sterling silver work. I am slowly building a collection of jewelry for each of my daughters that I will give them when they re older. My youngest daughter looked at several amethyst jewelry pieces from Novica and this was the necklace she loved the most! I know she will treasure it for years to come! Truly, it is an heirloom piece of jewelry that can be passed down from one generation to the next.

Buana is a master silversmith. He designs and crafts his jewelry collection using a combination of traditional and modern jewelry making techniques. Buana and his silversmiths share their knowledge and train younger artisans that join the workshop.

Microcredit Financing

Buana has received 14 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2400 and the most recent for $7000. Proceeds were used to invest in a purchase of natural gemstones and silver for his jewelry.

Caring for Children

When Buana first began to work, he was fearful that he would be unable to care for his first child. Now he proudly cares for two.

Enabling Education

Buana provides for the education of his two children.
