Por Fernando Sayan Polo, este elegante óleo sobre lienzo representa a la Sagrada Familia con Isabel, la prima de María, y su hijo, que creció hasta convertirse en San Juan Bautista. El artista peruano se inspira en la obra maestra del Alto Renacimiento de 1508 de Raphael Sanzio da Urbino. La pintura original se conoce como la "Sagrada Familia Canigiani", en honor a la familia de Florencia que se la compró a Rafael. Actualmente se encuentra en la Alte Pinakothek de Munich.

Sayan Polo aporta su propia visión a la composición, cambiando el fondo y vistiendo al trío con ricos brocados de seda. Los querubines, conocidos como amorcillos, ya no están presentes. En cambio, corona a José con un halo resplandeciente en esta reverente obra de arte.

Titulado "Sagrada Familia con la señora Elisabeth" en español.

“Beautiful and Artistic.”

This painting was bought for a House of Prayer in Ireland.. Here is their review. This is a beautiful artistic piece and depicts the apparition as it was. “This is absolutely beautiful.”

The face draws you in and the Andean style with the gold is absolutely beautiful. It is also at a great price. Framing is costing more than the icon. Highly recommended.
