Los valientes guerreros jaguar de 1325-1521 d.C. inspiran a los artesanos de la Asociación de Artesanos Ángel Cerón en la elaboración de esta escultura. Sólo los hijos de familias nobles mexicas eran admitidos en este ejército exclusivo, considerados soldados de las tinieblas. Para obtener este título, tuvieron que capturar a 12 prisioneros. Los artesanos representan al guerrero con la cabeza vuelta hacia un lado, como dicta la costumbre de representar personajes de alto rango. Al elaborar la escultura en cerámica con plumas de colores y un tocado de águila, el artesano mexicano retrata al valiente guerrero con un escudo y un macahuitl, un tipo de espada que tenía incrustaciones de afilados fragmentos de obsidiana.

Ive ordered several of these Codex pieces from Angel Ceron Artisan and they are beautiful works of art. Tezcatlipoca is amazing and I am lucky to have gotten one before they sold out. I have several others including Tlaloc and Quetzalcoatl, etc. They are incredible and worth every penny. I can say that the packaging they come in is 100% secure and that I am always amazed at how professionally they are packaged and shipped. They come from Mexico and always come with a hand written note on a postcard from Palenque.
