Depicted in low relief on a ceramic plaque, the feathered serpent of Mesoamerican legend has a human face. He emerges from a bowl holding bark paper. To the Maya, he was Kukulkan while the Aztecs called him Quetzalcoatl and, in Yucatán, he was known as Tepeu Kukumaz. Angel Cerón recreates a fragment of an archeological treasure from Lintel 15 in Yaxchilan. The original is on display in the British Museum.
You can find our ceramic plaque 'Kukulkan en Yaxchilan' by Angel Ceron Artisan Association in wall decor categories such as Museum Replica Wall Art and Ceramic Wall Art. Enjoy exploring these sections for other Novica treasures.
Microcredit Financing
Angel Ceron has received 3 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2700 and the most recent for $2850.
