Depicted in low relief on a ceramic plaque, the feathered serpent of Mesoamerican legend has a human face. He emerges from a bowl holding bark paper. To the Maya, he was Kukulkan while the Aztecs called him Quetzalcoatl and, in Yucatán, he was known as Tepeu Kukumaz. Angel Cerón recreates a fragment of an archeological treasure from Lintel 15 in Yaxchilan. The original is on display in the British Museum.
