Bello y sonoro, este tambor djembé representa un elefante africano. Surge de la habilidad y la imaginación de Daniel Asante. Tallado a mano, el paquidermo sostiene el tambor en forma de copa en su espalda. Está rodeado de tela kente tejida a mano. La cabeza de piel de cabra está fijada mediante anillos de hierro envueltos en algodón y se puede colgar un cordón de macramé sobre el hombro.

El djembe se originó en Benin, donde se usa durante los ritos vudú, y se ha introducido en los países vecinos. Es indispensable en el reggae contemporáneo.

My son loves this drum!!! The sound is amazing!”

This drum is a perfect size, the handle makes it easy to transport. The carving is exquisite and the material that is wrapped around adds a true African flair. Beautiful and sturdy, will last a lifetime. And of course, it sounds wonderful.

a favorite acquisition”

I have purchased several masks. Each has been interesting in its own way but I think this one is my favorite and now hangs in my office where I can see it all day. I love the surface patterning and the unusual facial expression and configuration.
