Artesano Rosario Leiva de Guatemala da nueva vida a los CD reciclados con estos hermosos y fascinantes aretes colgantes con ganchos de plata esterlina. Ella derrite el trozo de CD en un molde, luego aplica ingeniosamente gotas de acrílico para lograr los colores deseados (púrpura, turquesa y amarillo para este par de aretes) y luego fusiona el material del CD y el acrílico usando un soplete. El efecto resultante es un magnífico color translúcido salpicado de burbujas de aire que crean patrones únicos.

Sobre su trabajo, la artesana dice: "Me encanta crear joyas con materiales que la mayoría de la gente desecharía. Tomémonos el tiempo para pensar en las infinitas oportunidades que tenemos para darle otra oportunidad a los materiales 'de desecho'".

Absolutely beautiful. The colors are just as beautiful as the picture. Just knowing they are made from recycled material makes me feel good. I am going to order another pair for myself!!

“Very lightweight!”

These earrings were well made and of diverse colors. Unfortunately, though wonderfully lightweight, my dark hair didnt allow the light to shine through these earrings, so they were very dull. Perhaps they would work for someone with a lighter complexion and hair.

“Clever, colorful, creative, and comfortable”

These artistic earrings are clever, colorful, creative, and comfortable. They work well as a pop of color with many different outfits, and the fact that they are made from recycled CDs is a real plus. Very lightweight and fun to wear!
