This was the first item I put on my personal wishlist when I discovered Novica in 2018. In 2020 I decided to purchase it for myself as a birthday gift and could not possibly be happier with it! I absolutely adore the character story provided about the symbolism of the necklace. As another reviewer has mentioned, Mariana Llanes is a truly talented artisan! The quality and speckled color are beautiful and the detailed sterling designs on the back are both artfully done and unique. The maíz shapes of each stone are very rich and indigenous in a way that just makes me smile and appreciate my culture. I am sad to have to return because I just could not get it to sit right on my little neck. An average neck would not have this problem so I still give it five stars.
