I think what drew me to this decorative gourd was the bright cheerful colors and flora and fauna motif. Since my home at the moment has a South if the Border feel full of bright colors this piece complements it very well.

Can't say enough good things about the artisan Daniel Vargas STUNNING WORK as well as the packaging! I was simply overwhelmed with joy when I opened the box. I bought this for my aunt, who loves hummingbirds. She hasn't been feeling well, and I thought watching hummingbirds nest outside her window might cheer her up. Well, of course, she loves the gourd birdhouse. It's beautiful. It might be too beautiful to put outside...that made me laugh, but she promises she will hang it outside, in a sheltered spot so it will be protected from the elements. Right now, it's hanging in her living room! Either way, she loves it.
