Because of NOVICA's operations in Guatemala, and my love especially lesser-known birds, I have quite a few pieces representing quetzals. However, most artists depict quetzals as very dignified. This one stands out to me though because Ms. Briz's style makes it so adorable!
I bought this together with another African mask. They hang on either side of the fireplace in our house. They are both very distinctive and make excellent decorative pieces and also have that feel of handmade items. A lot of guests to our house comment on them.
