So pleased with the beauty and quality of this jewelry box! Heavy weight, and carefully finished inside and out. The carvings are very detailed and so carefully deeply cut into the wood. I've gotten these several times, in several of the designs by various family members, as wedding presents or anniversary presents, or housewarming presents, especially for people who like to entertain. It's the first thing I think of when I get an announcement of an upcoming celebration, even if there is a gift registry, because they are hand-made, unusual, and practical (also beautiful). All the recipients have seemed to like them.
