A highly textured disc of sterling silver, enhanced by selective oxidization, surrounds an amethyst cabochon in this pendant necklace presented by India's Rakesh Rana. Brilliant polished silver swirls frame the gemstone, which is set within a sterling silver bezel. The design carries through to the bail, which hangs from a cable chain.

“A perfect 40th birthday gift”

My niece was celebrating her 40th birthday during the Covid pandemic and I needed something for lifting spirits during the winter of our isolation.
