Artisan Crafted Peruvian Nativity Scene, "Pepper Love"

The Holy Family finds shelter within orange and yellow rocoto peppers for this cheerful nativity scene from Guillermo and Eduardo. Mary and Joseph are dressed in the tradition of Arequipa, where rocoto is a staple ingredient in most dishes. The Holy Family is accompanied by a cow, sheep and donkey. Each endearing figurine is molded of clay before being painted by hand.
