Using a backstrap loom, members of the artisan group K'amolon K'i K'ojonel (which means "let us get together") hand-weave the poncho from soft rayon fabric. With a folded front and long, fringed back, the poncho has a unique asymmetric appearance.

“Perfect for me!”

This poncho is so lovely, even though the colors are a lot different from the picture. The colors are much more muted, but I love the Fall colors, the soft material, the excellent workmanship and the drape of it. I have fairly broad shoulders, so I was afraid it might be skimpy on me, but it isnt at all. I think it would be a good fit on a lot of different shapes. Thanks to Novica and this weaver! I hope to buy more items from her.

“Beautiful, soft and satisfying”

Kamolons poncho is everything described. I like wearing it with a tank top underneath or a three-quarters length cotton shirt. Can be dressed up or down. Mostly I love knowing something about the artist and supporting her excellent work.
