Detailed geometric motifs flow across this beautiful brown shoulder bag from Peru. By artisans of the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco, its fabric is woven by hand on a backstrap loom. The women utilize patterns that derive from Inca art and seek to keep the heirloom textile traditions alive.

The bag is fully lined and opens to reveal a convenient zipper pocket.

“Classy and Yet Casual Handbag”

I was immediately impressed with the care taken in constructing this bag. The horizontal fabric goes all the way around for the body of the bag with only one seam. The base of the bag is squared well and stitched perfectly. The lining is nicely constructed and theres a zippered pocket for items that might be otherwise lost in the bottom of the bag.

Everyday This was a gift for Daughter-in-law Occasion: Christmas
