Wearing a warm hat with stripes and a diamond pattern, this African mask is designed and crafted by Ghanaian artisan Winfred Korley. He hand-carves this mask from a single piece of sese wood, accenting the face with curly eyebrows and patterns on the cheeks that evoke traditional scarification practices. A clay rub gives this mask a rustic finish.
