Bandhani is a tie-dyeing technique practiced mainly in western India. Intricate patterns are created by wrapping the fabric with string before dyeing it. When the fabric is untied, natural patterns appear in the places where the string prevented the dye from taking hold. Bandhani cloth is often used for women's shawls, but here the technique is adapted for a silky top. Made of a viscose rayon knit, the top drapes beautifully and features three-quarter length sleeves.

I was so glad to see they are still producing the shirt. Ive been traveling with the Jacket, Pants, and Dress for many years. They pack perfectly and the colors remain as bright as the day purchased.

This is a nice top. It runs small. The pattern is on the back, which is nice. I am a bit afraid to clean it. If it shrinks, it will be too small.

I purchased the bandhani skirt and tunic in black, and it is absolutely beautiful! I generally wear an extra large, and the tunic fit perfectly. The skirt was a little large, but, fortunately, it has a drawstring belt for cinching, so I simply tightened it a little bit and it fit perfectly. The fabric is a very soft, lightweight rayon that feels like a cotton jersey, but it has more substance so it doesnt seem to wrinkle. Perfect for a warm summer evenings. Its also very flattering and slimming, and I received a lot of comments when I wore it this evening. Very pleased with my purchase.
