These red and beige cushion covers from Maya Traditions are rich with mystique and artistry. The rayon brocade is inspired by the huipil blouses from Nahuala, in Sololá. It features the night's guiding stars that share their light so snakes can be avoided. The composition is about the balance between good and evil. Featuring a burgundy velvet trim, the cotton cushion covers feature a zipper closure.

These covers are crafted as a collaborative effort between the women who weave the cotton, the women who embroider the brocade, and the ones who sew the pieces together. They each work at home and bring the finished product to Maya Traditions for quality control.
