Topped with a striped tabby cat, Fida Hussain's decorative papier mache box makes a charming piece of home decor. The Indian artisan starts with weeping willow wood, pasting strips of paper around the box before buffing the surface smooth. Finally, the box is hand painted, then given a coat of glossy lacquer for shine and protection.

So whimsical, the title and the piece itself.

Another exquisite bird for my large bird collection. Colors are fantastic, the finish is very smooth and elegant.

These bird ornaments are absolutely exquisitely crafted and painted. I loved them so much that I bought a 2nd set for myself. I sent a set to my sister-in-law who was absolutely delighted to add them to her tree.
You can find our decorative papier mache box 'Cat Nap' by Fida Hussain in decor accessories categories such as Animal Themed Decorative Boxes, Hand Painted Decorative Boxes, Papier Mache Decorative Boxes and Wood Decorative Boxes. Enjoy exploring these sections for other Novica treasures.
