Rosario Leiva of Guatemala has sought a creative and unique way to create new forms of use for those items that many take as "waste," as well as raise awareness of the damage we do to the environment. These button earrings, made from recycled CDs, are the perfect example. She begins by melting down the discs, then pours the liquid into molds. Later, she paints them with acrylic and uses a blowtorch to carefully insert the sterling silver earring posts.

I have always been pleased with my purchases from Novica, however I am NOT pleased with this item. The earring back came off after only wearing them one time. Please inform me as to how I can return these fort a refund. Thank you, Louis White

These earrings were a gift for a friend who loves anything nature and ecology. She enjoys wearing them. They are light-weight, expertly made, and have gorgeous color and shape.

These artistic earrings are clever, colorful, creative, and comfortable. They work well as a pop of color with many different outfits, and the fact that they are made from recycled CDs is a real plus. Very lightweight and fun to wear!
