In bright yellow and red, the "Amega" mask is an original design by Ghanaian artisan Robert Nortey. Meaning "Big Man" in the dialect of Ghana's Ewe people, the sese wood mask is carved by hand. Nortey details a cap in red, black and yellow, as well as a long forehead and half-opened eyes. As he paints the mask Nortey works to achieve a weathered illusion.

“So Glad I Added to My Collection!”

I have many beautiful masks that I have ordered through Novica and love them, and this mask, ?To Foresee? is no exception! While it it one of my less embellished and detailed masks, it still makes a big impression. Heavy, substantial, and the beautiful reddish color really makes an impact!
