With a stern look and a scraggly beard, this mask is sure to add a unique accent to your home decor. Emmanuel Opoku Asante presents this mask of West African origin, meticulously crafted by hand from sese wood and jute, and featuring a rustic finish. The design is named after the Dan people of Liberia, who wear these masks during male initiation ceremonies and believe that the masks embody spirits.

I received this mask yesterday and expected to hear the Spirits chanting as I did when the Dan Protector mask arrived, or the sweet sounds of love from the Northern Water Spirit Mask. But the Dan Mask was quiet. A simple, pay attention to me, is all they said. When these masks arrive I tell the Spirit, we serve Jesus in this house. They comply, and we live happily.

Very well made and reflects the beauty of untamed Africa. Only suggestion is to include a better provision to hang it.
