The Balinese artisan hand carves the mermaid from suar wood in parvatasana, or "mountain pose," as it is commonly known in the West. A polished finish gives the mermaid (and her tail) a subtle luster.

“Delicate Piece”

This is such a unique piece. My sister moved to Florida near the beach. I thought giving her a mermaid sculpture was very appropriate. She loved it!
