Concentric circles of lamduan blossoms embrace a single flower, each layer showcasing a different element of the Thai garden. Buds, leaves and tendrils appear in this lacy composition. Using only hand tools, Tay Nontawat sculpts the panel of rain tree wood. The finished piece is dried in the sun. Nontawat then adds the color and protects the piece with a coat of lacquer.

The teak panel arrived yesterday and we could not be more pleased with it. It evens looks nicer than on the picture. We love ethnic art and this piece is a great addition to our collection. We love the colors, the design and the size. We will never get tired of looking at it. Tay, you are a uniquely talented artist and we thank you for creating such a beautiful piece of art! It will remind us of our wonderful visit to your country.
