Gordon Adu presents an imposing mask from Ghana's Akan people. Carved from sese wood and finished with mansion polish, it bears a traditional Adinkra symbol on the wide forehead. These communicate popular wisdom to the people. The impressive Gye Nyame symbol with its rotating movements is understood as "I fear none except God."

THIS PIECE OF WOOD HAS A HEFT AND WEIGHT TO IT, THE CARVING IS SPECTACULAR! IT IS A POWERFUL LION! I HAVE PUT HIM NEAR AN ALBRIJE GIRAFFE WHO IS TRYING TO EAT MY MOTHERS HYDRANGEAS IN A DEER VASE. TRUST ME, ITS SUCH A GREAT SETTING. THIS IS MASCULINE ENOUGH TO GIVE TO A GUY. i AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY LEO. ;)
