An Indian king consorts with his ministers on this decorative box designed by Mohammad Hussain Baba. Indian artisans use weeping willow wood to begin, pasting the box with papier mache and buffing the surface smooth. Finally, the box is painted in soft blue and ivory with a glossy lacquered finish.

You can set a glass down on any old thing, but these coasters are little works of art, each one beautifully designed and crafted. The design and colors are eye catching. The box that they are contained in is admirable on its own. This is a wonderful detail for my living room. Once again, thank you to the artist, Mohammad, for the beautiful work.
