Thai artisans hand carve the pair from mango wood, coating each box in several coats of glossy black lacquer. Painted in bright colours, the scenes pop against their dark surroundings.

“Majestic Elephant”

This is quite a large sculpture. The artist did a good job with the gold-accents. I have added it to my large collection of elephants, turtles and bears, some of which I bought from Novica.
