Artisan group Ranm Ixoqi' of Chimaltenango, Guatemala, presents a 100% cotton tote bag handmade using a backstrap loom. This ancient weaving technique has been used in the highlands of Guatemala since the time of the Mayans; Ranm Ixoqi' is "woman's heart" in the Mayan Kaqchikel language. Evoking the beauty of autumn, this bag is elaborated with stripes in lovely shades of pumpkin, milk white, camel, chestnut, and black. Since the tote bag has no closure, its one roomy compartment is easy to access. The tote's ginger-colored cotton lining has one inner pocket for storing small items.
