West African artisan Christopher Nyasafo designs this striking mask with long, raffia hair and an open mouth with bared teeth. Crafted from local sese wood, the mask is decorated with triangles in white and orange. The mask is called Pende, named after an ethnic group who live in south-western Democratic Republic of the Congo.

We love it. The use of the primary colors is wonderful, and stays within earth tones. A happy mask, which makes us smile and brightens the room!
