Relief artwork from India takes inspiration from temple paintings dated many centuries ago. Artist Neelima Gupta hand-carves and hand-paints this magnificent relief painting on a wood base using oil paints and a marble powder mix to create a special dough. It arrives in a neem wood frame.

I cant believe I didnt review this earlier. I bought one of her other pieces which I liked it so much that I started watching Ms. Guptas page. Shortly after I bought it, I saw this one come up and I knew I had to get it. The colors are great but the texture and dimensionality really just makes her work come to life and I love it! When I hung these panels, I initially treated them like porcelain, but not long after I put this one up, the first piece I bought from her pulled the hook out of the wall and crashed down, from a height of about ten feet. I was horrified when I came in and saw it on the floor, but while the fall slightly damaged the frame, I was very relieved to see that the art itself survived the fall completely undamaged, showing that her work is also very sturdy!

This is my second piece of art by this artist. I was so thrilled to see these new designs and it was hard to choose my favorite. This artwork is beautiful. It makes me happy to wake up and see this art every morning.
