Enveloping a shining globe like a whirlwind, sterling tendrils are outlined by diminutive silver granules known as jawan. It encloses a brass ball in a necklace from Sukartini. A silver chain complete the mesmerizing design.

Also called "angel necklaces" and "harmony balls," Such necklaces are often worn by pregnant women in Bali and also in Mexico. Many wear it as an amulet. Others prefer a long chain that lets the pendant reach to the belly and the delicate sounds are thought to soothe the mother and the baby she is carrying. Some believe it summons a guardian angel, thus making it a symbol of loving protection.

“So lovely I bought another pair”

Previously I bought a pair as a gift for my sister. I had to have a pair, too. The exact color of gold accent is something Ive never seen on other sites or in stores. Mesmerizing! Kudos to the artist!
