Crafted from ceramic in the traditional Oaxacan style known as barro negro, this taper candleholder is delightful. A sleeping cherub rests against the candlestick, which is designed and crafted by Fernando and Magali Pedro in Mexico. The unique dark colour and slightly metallic sheen of barro negro are obtained by polishing the clay's surface with a quartz stone before the piece is fired in the kiln.

I bought this as a gift and the person loved it. They were impressed with the quality, workmanship, and what it is made of: black clay. Thank you, Fernando and Magali Pedro!

As Latin American myself, I love supporting artisans from the region. This piece is particularly beautiful. We adore looking at it at home. Gracias!
