Handwoven cotton evokes the pink clouds at dawn in Mexico's Maya highlands. Working on the backstrap loom, Petrona Perez and the Women Artisans Association create a dramatic tortilla warmer. Beautiful brocade motifs in burgundy, grape and dusty plum recall tall mountain peaks and, inside the fully lined server, a foam interlining keeps things warm.
