Inspired by the forests of the Plaga region in Bali. Dewa Semadi creates this elegant wall mirror. The frame is carved by hand from durian wood, revealing leafy patterns that are treated with a subtle white and blue wash.

The relief itself is beautiful. However, it is not designed for hanging without extensive work to the back. To ensure that the sections did not fold into themselves, I had to attach two thin metal metal strips to the back to hold the sections in place. i also had to lower the screws for hanging by 1.5 inches to ensure that the hanger did not show. It was either that or return the item. So, be advised that this will require work on your part.

I really like how brilliantly the artist conceptualized his artwork in this piece. It can easily be mistaken for a small window or a storage cabinet but when you open those little doors.. you see a beautiful mirror!
