Artisan Ana Fernandez of Peru designs this men's long-sleeve pullover sweater made from luxuriously soft 100% alpaca wool. The sweater features multi-colour stripes in the background and a variety of geometric patterns in the foreground.

About her designs, the artisan says, "For me, designing is a fusion of ideas. I blend fashion trends with my own favorite sources of inspiration, which are Victorian textiles and our Peruvian culture. I love designing apparel of alpaca wool and cotton because this really makes a contribution to society. It lets me give jobs to local people, especially women who want to get ahead and move to central Peru seeking a better future."

“Wonderful sweater!”

I got this as an early birthday gift (like, 4 months early) for a v dear friend of 30+ years standing; never seen him in anything but plain, unicolor, boring clothing but decided to take the chance. Now that cold weather is setting in he LOVES it (and looks great wearing it); says it fits perfectly, and that its soft, warm, and Not Itchy. Plus which, his daughter is beyond impressed, seeing her dad looking so good! Based on this, Ive just ordered another one in this style for one of my brothers and cant wait for it. Highly, highly recommend!!

“Peruvian Sweater as a Christmas Present”

The sweater is beautiful and unlike anything I could find in a U.S. store. I am tired of seeing almost everything bought in stores here Made in China. The Peruvian woman who made this sweater is a real artisan and does beautiful work!!!! I bought it as a Christmas present for my 19-year old grandson, and he loves it!!! I highly recommend this sweater and anything else this knitter makes!!!!! I hope to do business with her again!!!

So well made, you can see it is made with love and care. I just wish it was a little heavier, but no matter, I love this gorgeous hat.

“Runs big...refer to the size chart!”

Unfortunately, I did not look at the size chart when ordering this pretty sweater...so as a result its huge on me. I will find someone to gift it to. The knit is a looser but bulkier looking knit that is fairly lightweight for its size. The loop for the button was very tight so was difficult to get the horn button through it to open up the sweater.

“Soft and Slouchy”

Love this sweater!! Great colors, cozy style. Perfect over a t-shirt or turtleneck. Runs a little large, but its supposed to be a bit over-sized. Nice quality craftsmanship.
