Balinese artisan Buana orchestrates a mystical palette of gemstone colors for the design of this extraordinary bracelet. Onyx centers the florid pendant and is flanked by rainbow moonstone. Opal doublets flank the frangipanis, and blue-green peacock pearls dangle on either side. Buana's expertise is evident in the details as he crafts the sterling silver bracelet by hand.

“Different from any bracelet I have”

I really like all the different stones - onyx, moonstone, opal, and pearls. The bracelet is comfortable and light to wear, and it fits my small wrist.

Buana is a master silversmith. He designs and crafts his jewelry collection using a combination of traditional and modern jewelry making techniques. Buana and his silversmiths share their knowledge and train younger artisans that join the workshop.

Microcredit Financing

Buana has received 14 microcredit loans with 0% interest from Kiva and Novica, the first for $2400 and the most recent for $7000. Proceeds were used to invest in a purchase of natural gemstones and silver for his jewelry.

Caring for Children

When Buana first began to work, he was fearful that he would be unable to care for his first child. Now he proudly cares for two.

Enabling Education

Buana provides for the education of his two children.
