The women weavers of K'amolon K'i K'ojonel find inspiration in the legendary tale of "Xocomil" to select the palette of blue undertones that colours this chenille scarf in rayon made from bamboo. Xocomil refers to the strong winds that sweep across Lake Atitlán every day, around 5 p.m. Creating tall furious waves, it is said it is the Lake pining for his beloved, who lives on top of the volcano. Her father forbade her to bathe in his waters anymore.
Since the threads are dyed by the women, please expect slight differences in the colour tone and arrangement.

I received this beautiful scarf today. It was well worth the cost, which could have easily been more. The mingling of blues and lavenders is absolutely beautiful. The softness yet sturdy feel of the scarf allows it to feel good against the skin, and yet not be victim to snagging of threads. I am so pleased with this purchase. The artist should be very proud.

Kamolons poncho is everything described. I like wearing it with a tank top underneath or a three-quarters length cotton shirt. Can be dressed up or down. Mostly I love knowing something about the artist and supporting her excellent work.
