In this original eco-friendly sculpture, Miguel Mejia gives a new life to scrap metal in a deep red flower. He uses washers, tubes, screws and bolts, saved from energy-consuming re-smelting. The Peruvian artisan has been interested in refurbishing mechanical parts since his was a child, creating new objects and forms.

There is nothing quite like this artwork. It is much heavier and more substantial than I expected.
