Ghanaian artisan Akwele Suma designs this necklace in a statement for ecological preservation. It features a circular pendant that is diligently crafted of paper, dangling from a strand of petite sese wood beads that encircle the neck.

The artist uses the paper at hand so paper colours will vary, making each design a unique example of handcrafted art. These beads receive a protective coat of clear nail polish.
