Fida Hussain in India creates this pretty petite box, preserving the artistic legacy that was handed down by his father. He crafts it from weeping willow wood covered with papier mache. A chinar leaf motif is then carefully painted on top and sides in red and gold. The box is lined with velvet to protect small treasures.

Another exquisite bird for my large bird collection. Colors are fantastic, the finish is very smooth and elegant.

These bird ornaments are absolutely exquisitely crafted and painted. I loved them so much that I bought a 2nd set for myself. I sent a set to my sister-in-law who was absolutely delighted to add them to her tree.

I recall my friend from India gave me an elephant decor when I moved away. I certainly can imagine these ornaments as symbolic of carrying one of the wise men that Christians celebrate at Epiphany (January 6).
